Embodied Paintings

This series consists of prints collaged from a diverse set of graphic sources including, comic books, anatomical art, technical illustration and other sources of 19th century wood engravings. I was interested in exploring how the relationship between the parts and the whole could be manipulated to create tension between the form of the thing seen and its constituent parts. I am in the process of converting each print into oil on canvas.
